Scrap Return Program (UK Only)
Give Your Fabric Scraps a Second Life!
Hello crafting friends! I'm thrilled to introduce my Fabric Scrap Return Program, a simple way for us to work together towards a more sustainable crafting community. I believe that even the smallest scraps of fabric have value and shouldn't end up in landfills. This program allows you to easily send your clean fabric scraps back to me, where I'll sort them and make them available to other crafters, either for free (distributed in my local community) or at a minimal cost (just to cover the postage). It's a win-win: you declutter your crafting space, and someone else gets access to affordable materials!
Why Participate?
- Reduce Waste: Help keep valuable fabric scraps out of landfills.
- Support Sustainability: Contribute to a circular economy and reduce textile waste.
- Affordable Materials: Provide other crafters with access to free fabric scraps for their projects.
- Declutter Your Space: Free up space in your crafting area.
- Community Spirit: By donating your fabric scraps, you are helping others in the crafting community. Current beneficiaries are; college sewing classes for those on a low income, community workshops for children and they will be avaliable to the general public on my website.
How to Participate:
- Gather Your Scraps: Collect your clean fabric scraps. Any size, type, or colour is welcome!
- Request a Scrap Return Pack: Click the button below to fill out the request form.
- Receive Your Pack: I'll send you a "Scrap Return Pack" containing a sturdy, reusable bag and a pre-paid, self-addressed envelope.
- Fill the Bag: Fill the bag with your fabric scraps.
- Send It Back: Simply seal the envelope and pop it in the post.
- I'll Do the Rest: I'll sort the scraps by colour and make them available to those who can use them.
Please note: this scheme is not for profit, it is just my way of giving back and helping the environment. I appreciate all your contributions.
